Swissnex × Museum für Gestaltung Zürich
The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich has partnered with Swissnex to further strengthen its international presence, foster global collaboration and to increase engagement with its globally significant collection through designers and artists from around the world.
Exhibitions
Six designers and artists, scouted by Swissnex and the museum, have reinterpreted iconic pieces from the museum's permanent collection, offering new perspectives that bridge the museum's rich history and contemporary themes.
The works will be on show from August 2025 as part of the exhibition Museum of the Future—17 digital experiments at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. The work of Japanese video artist Takafumi Matsunaga will be shown at the Swissnex network in Osaka, Japan, in May 2025.
Events
To further amplify the initiative, Swissnex proposes hosting hybrid events throughout 2025 in collaboration with various Swissnex locations. The event series explores the multifaceted role of design in preserving memory, fostering cultural dialogue, and addressing ecological imperatives.
