12.02.2014 - 25.05.2014

The competition is closed. Thank you very much for all these great posters! Nearly 70 people took part in the competition.

Exhibition curators Christian Brändle and Bettina Richter made up the jury and selected eight winners. These are the winning posters.

Submitted posters may be retrieved at the Museum Shop during the regular opening hours by no later than
25 May 2014

We are giving away eight original posters by Japanese graphic artists as competition prizes. The fascinating works by these artists can be seen until 25 May in the exhibition “Japanese Poster Artists”. Choose your favourite original and become a designer yourself. Create your own poster, which should be related in some way to your favourite, and enter it in our competition. You can make your poster by hand, by drawing, by means of photography or you can produce it on the computer – no boundaries are set to your expressive creativity.

Do you need some inspiration and support in designing your own poster? In the open workshop “PlakatRemix” on 2 and 30 April over 300 Japanese posters supply you with ideas and graphic artist Hitomi Murai is available to help you implement them. You can then submit your completed poster straight away and take part directly in the competition.

Please submit your poster by 30 April 2014 – digitally, or by post marked with “Competition”, or when you are visiting our museum.

We are looking forward to receiving your entries!
