This exhibition features all the prizewinners from the 2002 Swiss Federal Design Competition: Maja Abplanalp, Maria Pia Amabile, Claude Baechtold, Anne Crausaz, Ruth Erdt, Nora Garcia, Gilles Gavillet, 'Happypets Products', Daniel Hermann, Michael Hübscher, Rachel Imboden, Sandra Lemp, Simone Lüling, Gian Paolo Minelli, Irène Münger, 'Norm', Raphael Perret, Alain Rappaport, Lela Scherrer, 'Schönwehrs', Christian Speck, Hin Phu Tran, Isabel Truniger, Judith Zaugg, Christoph Zellweger, Megi Zumstein.

The Swiss Federal Office of Culture SFOC (Bundesamt für Kultur; BAK) organizes the Swiss Federal Design Competition, which brought these designers together. The competition is a major design promotion instrument, run nationally since 1917. The Swiss design landscape has changed fundamentally on several occasions over the past 85 years, and so the Federal Office of Culture has devised a new promotion model so that it can address the task appropriately.
"Netzwerke / Réseaux / Networks" presents the prizewinners' education and institutional connections, and thus their individual inspiration. The show offers information about training, communication, promotion and the representation of interests in the Swiss design world on this basis. The exhibition does not just show the prizewinning works in context; the museum itself becomes the 'networking' location: the Design Salon - a joint project with the Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Zürich - brings key design figure together and invites visitors to a lavish programme of events: lectures, discussions and provocative ideas on all aspects of design.
